The more expressive art I create, the more I think and dream in pictures.
When I began creating spontaneous art over 20 years ago, I had to study the language of my creative unconscious as if it was a foreign language. I would mull over what the symbols in my collages meant - often for many months.
Now, when a picture spontaneously comes into my mind or into my field of vision, I almost always know what it means for me.
I love to study dream interpretation as a doorway into the creative unconscious. I see spontaneous collage as a way to dream while I am awake.
You might ask yourself, " Do I want to study my own symbolism?" If the answer is "yes" you will enjoy this month's featured course.

Course Spotlight - Symbolic Journeys
I wrote this course because people confide that they do not know how to "read" their art on an intuitive level. In my opinion, it is best to write your own symbol dictionary in order to understand what your expressive art imagery means to you.
In Symbolic Journeys, I offer 45 lessons that invite you to explore your personal response to common symbols through poetry, collage, writing, drawing and painting. You could think of this as a way to begin your own symbology dictionary. And, this course is also great for children and teens. You can view the course HERE.
